How we handle your signature
This site collects signatures for the joint position paper "Freedom of movement in digital Europe". This notice explains what we do with the details you give us.
Who is responsible
The data controller is Stichting Modal (the Modal Foundation), a non-profit foundation based in The Hague, the Netherlands, which coordinates the paper. Contact: hello@dfom.eu.
What we collect and why
- Name, organisation, role, sector and country: to check and list your signature. Your name, organisation and country are shown publicly on this site, as you agree when you sign. Your role and sector help us group the list.
- Email address: to verify your signature and contact you about it. It is never published.
- Website or handle, if given: to help verify who you are. It is not published.
- Updates: only if you tick the box, we use your email to send occasional updates on the launch and follow-up action. You can ask us to stop at any time.
The legal basis is your consent (GDPR Article 6(1)(a)). You can withdraw it at any time.
Who processes it
The sign-on form is provided by Tally (Tally BV, Belgium), which stores responses for us in the EU. When you open this page, the form loads from tally.so. We do not sell or share your details with anyone else. The rest of the site is served from EU infrastructure, sets no cookies and loads no trackers; its fonts are hosted on the site itself.
How long we keep it
We keep signatures for as long as the campaign runs, and for up to two years after it ends as a record of who endorsed the paper. You can ask us to remove your name sooner at any time.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete your details, or to be removed from the public list, by emailing hello@dfom.eu. You also have the right to complain to the Dutch data protection authority, the Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens, or to the authority where you live.
